Repayment calculator
Business loan, secured and bridging calculator
Not every business wants to repay from card takings. This calculator covers the other routes our partner's panel of more than 200 UK lenders arranges: fixed monthly direct debit loans, secured lending against property or assets, and short-term bridging finance. Repaying from card sales instead? Use the card-sales funding calculator.
A fixed sum repaid in equal monthly direct debits. No card terminal needed: repayments come from your bank account, not your card takings.

Which repayment style fits your business?
The honest answer is that it depends on your cash flow shape, and a five-minute conversation settles it faster than any calculator. As a starting point:
Direct debit loan
A fixed sum, a fixed monthly payment, no card terminal required. Suits businesses with steady bank income: trades, wholesale, professional services. On our partner's panel rates run from about 7% to 44% a year (checked 1 September 2026); established businesses with clean accounts sit at the lower end, newer or higher-risk trades at the upper.
Secured loan
Security, usually property, cuts the rate and stretches the term. Panel rates run from about 6% to 22% a year over terms up to ten years. The trade-off is real: the asset is at risk if the business cannot repay, and valuation and legal work make it slower to complete than an unsecured loan.
Bridging loan
Short-term property finance priced monthly. Panel rates run from about 0.55% to 1.5% per month, terms of 3 to 24 months, and completion in weeks rather than months. Bridging only makes sense with a clear exit: a sale agreed or a refinance lined up. Without one, it is an expensive way to wait.
Funding enquiries are handled by our specialist commercial finance partner. We may receive a commission; it never affects the rate you are offered.
