Invoice finance providers in the UK compared
Of six UK invoice finance providers we checked, only Triver publishes a price: from 0.06% a day, or £178.20 to fund a £10,000 invoice for 30 days. The banks and Bibby advance up to 90% or 95% of your invoices but price every facility privately, and they set turnover floors that rule out most small firms.
Every term below read from the provider's own site on 1 November 2026.

NatWest FacFlow (RBS Invoice Finance)
FacFlow is the online platform, not the lender. NatWest and Ulster Bank's Invoice Financing services are provided by RBS Invoice Finance Limited. NatWest offers invoice discounting and asset based lending (factoring not listed), with a minimum turnover of £300,000 a year for invoice discounting and £6.5 million for asset based lending. It advertises up to 90% within 24 hours. On price it says only: "Product fees may apply." It adds that security may be required. Contract length and notice: Not published.
RBS FacFlow is the same system under the RBS brand, with the same £300,000 a year floor and wording. Our view: a sensible choice if you already bank with NatWest and turn over well above the minimum, because the lender can see your account history. If you are close to that minimum, the facility will be small relative to the security asked for.
Close Brothers Invoice Finance
Close Brothers runs its invoice finance arm at closeinvoice.co.uk and lists invoice discounting, invoice factoring, asset based lending, bad debt protection. Both factoring and discounting advance up to 90% and require £750,000 a year turnover, the highest published floor here for a general facility. Pricing: "your agreement will be individually priced." Contract terms: Not published.
Bibby Financial Services
Bibby describes itself as one of Europe's largest independent invoice finance providers. It was formed in 1982 and says it funds more than 8,500 businesses. Its live pages now advertise up to 95% of invoice value, while its brochure (last modified January 2024) says up to 90%. Its brochure offers 12 or 24 month contracts, or a rolling contract with 30 days notice. Fees and minimum turnover: Not published. Full detail is in our Bibby Financial Services review.
IGF invoice finance
IGF (Independent Growth Finance) is an asset based lender for larger companies, offering £2m to £25m facilities with up to 90% of trade debtors. Its site does not describe a factoring product for small businesses. Fees and minimum turnover: Not published. If you turn over less than a few million pounds a year, IGF is not your first call.
Triver invoice finance
Triver funds individual invoices, advancing typically 99% upfront. Its fee: from 0.06% a day on the amount advanced (about 1.8% on a 30-day invoice). It takes 10 days of fees upfront, minimum £18, and says there is no setup fee, early repayment fee or minimum usage. Limits: Facility up to £1 million; up to £100,000 per advance; invoices £100 to £100,000, with invoices on 10 to 120 day terms. Invoices to consumers or sole traders are not eligible. Triver labels the calculator rate illustrative; your rate may differ.
Penny invoice finance
Penny (Penny Limited, company number 11972051) buys single invoices outright: "we buy 100% of your invoice for a small fixed fee." It says it charges no setup or monthly service fees and has no minimum volumes, contracts or notice periods. The percentage fee itself: Not published. Invoices from £500; its own pages give the upper limit as both £250,000 and £500,000, so confirm the cap for your invoice before applying.
Worked example: one £10,000 invoice for 30 days
- Triver advance: £10,000 × 99% = £9,900
- Triver fee: £9,900 × 0.06% × 30 days = £178.20
- Penny: fee not published; ask for it as a percentage and in pounds
- NatWest, Close Brothers, Bibby: single invoices are not how these facilities are sold
Our verdict: for an occasional large invoice, a selective lender with a published price is the only option you can cost before applying. For a business invoicing every week with turnover over £300,000 a year, get quotes from a bank and from Bibby and compare the total annual cost, including the minimum fee and notice period, not the headline advance rate. The fee structure is explained in our invoice finance guide and invoice discounting guide.
Paid by card, not invoice?
None of these providers can fund card takings. Shops, cafés and salons use a merchant cash advance instead; compare lenders in our MCA providers comparison.

Invoice finance provider questions
What is NatWest FacFlow?
FacFlow is the online system NatWest and RBS clients use to run an invoice finance facility: uploading invoices and checking the facility at any time of day or night. It is not a separate product. The facility itself is provided by RBS Invoice Finance Limited.
Is RBS FacFlow the same as NatWest FacFlow?
Yes. RBS and NatWest both point clients to the same FacFlow platform, with the same published terms: up to 90% of what you are owed and a minimum turnover of £300,000 a year for invoice discounting.
Which invoice finance provider is cheapest?
Nobody can say from published prices, because only Triver publishes one. Triver charges from 0.06% a day on the amount advanced; NatWest, Close Brothers, Bibby, IGF and Penny price each client individually. Get two written quotes with the service fee, discount margin, minimum fee and notice period, and compare the total in pounds.
Which provider suits a small business?
A selective lender. Triver and Penny fund single invoices with no long contract, while Close Brothers needs £750,000 a year turnover and IGF offers £2m to £25m facilities.
